Sherwood Sirloin Steak is a minimum of 21 days on the bone aged in chillers at 3°C giving a 5-Star restaurant dining experience at home. Our expert butchers have selected some of the finest beef in Ireland to be aged & have carefully trimmed & prepared the Whole Sirloin before cutting into 350-gram, uniform steaks. The single packed steaks have the remaining layer of fat across the top edge of the steak, & this will render down a little during the cook to add to the flavour of the beef.

Sirloin Steak:

As we all know, the process of ageing beef or any meats helps the natural enzymes found in meat to breakdown the fibres & enhance the flavour. The other benefit of ageing meat is; as the enzyme’s breakdown the fibres, the steak becomes really soft & tender.

Having this process in place before the cutting allows us to be able to create a steak perfect for any restaurant or table at home. Any dry sections are trimmed off before cutting to leave only naturally juicy steaks with no waste.

We have cut our Aged Sirloin Steak 350-gram to a thickness of approx 20 mm to give a good portion sized steak that will satisfy most appetites. The texture of Sirloin Steak is a little finer than its neighbour the RibEye Steak  & will be an easy to chew steak that is easy to cook. The natural colour of our beef is a rich Red & will turn to a lighter red when exposed to the air before cooking.

When buying any steak for home, you always want the best quality & value for the best results. We have made the selection of quality beef first, then aged it in our chillers for 21 days, trimmed & cut the steaks into good-sized single portions, packaged to preserve the natural flavours, before delivering to your door. All these processes have been made affordable so you can enjoy steak when you want with guaranteed results.

In the cutting room, we cut & package our steaks within a few minutes to make sure we can deliver the freshest, juiciest steaks possible. The temperature of our cutting rooms is very cold & this helps to stop any natural bacteria growth in the meat & for it to lose any juices. This gives our steaks a longer shelf life & more natural flavour.

We vacuum seal the steaks onto recyclable trays, these gently hold the shape of the steaks & the vacuum process sucks all the moisture into the steak before freezing. They are vacuum-sealed in singles for your convenience & ease of freezing, they can be bought up to room temperature without drying out before cooking. Our natural Grass-Fed beef is an excellent source of vitamins, minerals & protein, this is all locked in with the packaging to ensure your delivery is perfect every time.

The recyclable packaging helps us to reduce our carbon footprint because our customers at home recycle responsibly, thus moving towards a greener future. We are always looking to find other methods of packaging that is cheaper & more eco-friendly, we can then help the environment & save the customer money.

The process from farm to fork is designed to maximise value for money & minimise waste, with welfare & the environment top of the list. All our production facilities are BRC Approved & we are always using local herds.

Sherwood Irish Grass-Fed beef is an excellent source of vitamins, minerals & protein that helps promote energy levels. Our Irish Grass-Fed beef enjoys some of the best green pastures that Ireland has to offer, with the higher than average rainfall there is never a shortage of lush grass for them to enjoy. The welfare of all the cattle is very important not only to the livestock but to the results it brings to your table.

All our beef is fully traceable through modern technology with animals now having virtual passports to ensure they are monitored from farm to fork.

We have the choice of excellent stock to choose from over here, & this gives us a wonderful opportunity to create & share our consistent “restaurant quality” tasty products.

Steak dinners have always been a favourite meal after a long day at work or whether the new “Steak Nites” with the wife when the kids have gone to bed, or if you are having guests over to show off your new found BBQ skills. You need a steak that will deliver so you, your family & friends are happy to have shared great food together & look forward to enjoying a delicious aged sirloin steak again.

Lunch or dinner? Just bring up to room temperature, lightly season, either under the grill, pan-seared, or on the BBQ, cook till you have your preferred “Doneness”, let the steak rest for 10 mins, then just serve & enjoy.

Letting the steak “rest” allows the muscle fibres to relax & absorb the natural meat juices for a better result.

The Beef Sirloin Steak is simple to cook, please enjoy our Irish Grass-fed Beef. Don’t forget to tag us in your social media posts. #abrandisapromise
