What are Chicken Rolls in Bacon made from?
Our Chicken Rolls are made from the following meat & ingredients:
- Fresh cut Oyster Cut Thighs & Breast Fillets
- Mixed Seasoning
- Blend of Cheddar / Emmental / Gouda / Cheese chunks mixed together
- Streaky Bacon
- Seasoned Breadcrumbs
Using only high quality natural Chicken that has NO ADDED WATER ensures a better flavour & texture. All ingredients in the Chicken Croquettes are of the highest quality to produce a tasty consistent product, that makes great meals every time.
How do we make our Chicken Rolls in Bacon?
Expert butchers start by removing any excess fat & all skin from the Oyster Cut Thighs & Breast Fillets, these are then mixed together. The fresh chicken cuts are finely minced & blended with the added seasoning. The meat & seasoning mix has cheese chunks added in afterwards, so the cheesy chunks remain as small pieces, in order to become “deliciously gooey” when cooking.
The minced chicken & cheese is then made into 150 gram portions, these are then rolled into 3 cm thick short sausage shaped rolls that look like Croquettes. The rolls are then dipped in a semi skimmed milk, before being rolled by hand in the delicious seasoned breadcrumbs. Once the Chicken Rolls are covered in breadcrumbs, a single rasher of Streaky Bacon is wrapped around the middle to garnish them.
Through our careful preparation of our Chicken Rolls in Bacon, you have no waste, giving more meat for your money, making them a great purchase when shopping online. Chicken Rolls in Bacon look great but, add a little glaze just before they are cooked & they look amazing. They are sooo good!
How are the Chicken Rolls packed?
We pack these on Skin Pack Trays, 4 portions per tray. The recyclable clear plastic trays hold the Rolls on a sturdy base, whilst the thin layer of strong plastic gently seals them on top. Packing this way protects the meat during delivery & when stored in the freezer. The packaging prevents the meats from drying out when kept in the fridge or when bringing up to room temperature, the chicken rolls taste just as if they had been made!
We only produce our meats in BRCGS / IFS approved  highly efficient production facilities so we can make our Chicken Rolls taste better, have a long 2 year shelf life frozen, creating the safest, affordable meats possible. All production has on site food inspectors to check on temperatures, working practices & cleanliness of the premises, ensuring all health & hygiene rules are obeyed.
To pack all our meats we use as little plastic as possible, the skin pack trays are stronger & thinner than before, this reduces the amount of plastic used per portion. We encourage all our customers to recycle at home & place all plastic into the recycle bins. Using the trays in production helps to speed up the packing process, leading to lower energy usage per portion, helping to reduce our Carbon Footprint.
The faster production & lower unit cost savings are passed on to our customers giving you better value for money. See how we give you more meat for your money #moremeatfymÂ
