Our expert butchers have selected larger whole chickens with nice plump breasts & fuller legs before production to ensure they make for a meaty Spatchcock Chicken. The removal of any waste means that you get much better value for money because the weight you buy is the weight you cook.
We also have a whole Sherwood Whole Chicken that is perfect for a Sunday roast or to have for cold chicken sandwiches or to accompany a light healthy salad.
The meat itself is light in colour with a consistent texture throughout, with good-sized breasts & fuller thigh for higher meat to bone ratio. The meat will be very tender & soft with an easy bite that is not chewy for a better eating experience. These are great when feeding the family because you have the choice of light or dark meat with the leg & breast, & there is enough to feed everyone.
The Spatchcock Chicken has been cut & packed within minutes, we vacuum seal this in clear recyclable pouches to protect the meat, making them as fresh as possible before freezing to -18°C. The chicken is only 1-2°C when packed because the very low temperatures help the meat retain all its natural moisture & to ensure that the meat is as safe as possible. The clear pouches protect the Spatchcock Chicken from freezer burn, any contaminants, any damage during delivery & from drying out when in the fridge at home.

The local chicken farms that supply our production meet the highest European standards to ensure that quality & safety are a top priority for our products. All the chickens are monitored 24 hours per day & given a consistent diet to help them grow into large healthy birds.
