What meat cuts are in your Large Christmas Meat Box?
The biggest piece in this Essential Christmas Meat Box is the Boneless Turkey Breast . At over 5 kilos this gives approximately 17 generous portions of sliced Turkey. The high quality Turkey is succulent with a smooth texture throughout the whole breast, this makes it easy to carve even slices to your required thickness. There is no fuss with carving on the bone as these are completely boneless, also giving you more meat for your money.
How to cook your Turkey Breast: bring to room temperature inside the vacuum sealed bag, remove & prepare your Turkey Breast, place in a tray with a small amount of stock to keep moist & cover in foil, place in pre-heated oven at 190°c for 20 minutes per kilo (add 1.5 hours extra), remove the foil & place back in the oven for a further 20-30 minutes to get the skin a crispy Golden Brown, baste regularly.
As this is a big Turkey Breast, there are some great Turkey Recipes on the internet, just like chicken. Why not cut the breast in half once cooked & save in the freezer to make something different for your family for another occasion. You might like to try some of the Turkey recipes below;

When it comes to buying Bacon online or from a butchers, the best Bacon has to be Dry Cured! The reason for this is that the unwanted added water from normal “Wet Bacon” is not in the meat, adding to the weight ( & profit) & shrinking during cooking. The 900-grams of Unsmoked Dry Cured Back Bacon we have added to your Christmas Meat Box has amazing flavour, enjoy making a Bacon Sandwich or laying across the top of your Turkey Breast.
The 2 x 450-grams recyclable pouches are vacuum sealed to hold all that flavour in & give a longer shelf life for a safer product. The meaty Bacon rashers are cut to a medium thickness for a better result when cooking, you don’t have the horrible “White Residue” in the pan, unlike the normal wet bacon sold in supermarkets
We also included 6 of our Black Pepper & Sea Salt Breakfast Sausages (patties) as these are great for adding to a hearty breakfast or making those familiar Sausage & Egg Muffins. We make these to a specific traditional recipe & method using only the finest shoulder meat to give a consistent texture & flavour that will guarantee an empty plate! Vacuum sealed in recyclable clear pouches at 450-grams these are 75-grams each a perfect size.
In the Christmas Meat Box we thought you would like to try our Cumberland Pork Sausages. As with all our Sausages, we only use the best Pork Shoulder Cuts (trimmed first) to make them. The traditional Cumberland recipe used for generations makes a more interesting tasting sausage that is not spicy. Why not make Pigs in blankets with these & the Dry Cured Back Bacon as a side dish for Christmas Dinner. There are 6 sausages vacuum sealed in a clear recyclable pouch 75-grams each 450-grams per pack.
The production of all our meats in the Christmas Meat Box & our other meat boxes is made in temperature controlled clean rooms to give a more natural product. The lower temperatures will slow the loss of moisture in the meat, the clean rooms will prevent any extra bacterial contamination of the meat, the results are a juicier, fresher tasting product at home that has a much longer shelf life.
The process from farm to fork is about the welfare of commercially reared animals, to have a lower impact on the environment, whilst minimizing energy use & waste, also achieve a lower price for your meat delivered to your door.
All our production facilities are BRCGS Approved & we are always using sustainable supplies from trusted farms. The local herds from the farms closer give us a better choice of meat in production enabling us produce larger, more consistent volumes of meat cuts.
The packing of all our meats has to be completed within a few minutes because we don’t want them to dry out. Many of our meat cuts are vacuum sealed into clear recyclable pouches that gently hold the meat in shape, but more importantly keep the natural moisture in the meat. Some of our meat cuts are placed into recyclable sealed trays as they would lose their shape.
We are always looking to find other methods of packaging that is cheaper & more Eco-friendly, so we can then help improve the environment moving towards a greener future. We are now using a thinner, stronger packaging that is also recyclable which helps us to reduce our Carbon Footprint by using less plastic. We want to make our products more eco friendly through using better technology, more efficient production techniques & less waste.
Through Social Media & logos on packaging, we are actively trying to get all our customers to recycle their meat & delivery packaging at home. The recycling of “All Packaging” at home is arguably the most important part of the whole process. Unless we recycle more as consumers, we will never reduce our Carbon Footprint for a Greener Future.
