The 2 Bone Carvery Rib or Rib Roast Beef on the bone is the main attraction in your Mothers Day Meat Gift Box as this will be your main dish for mothering Sunday lunch. A great piece of Roast Beef that is ready to cook & easy to carve, & at approximately 2.5Kg, offers a generous serving of tender beef. The high quality Grass-Fed Irish beef has a gorgeous flavour with a consistent texture throughout, & because it is on the bone, has a better flavour than that of a boneless piece.
Our expert butchers have prepared our Carvery Ribs to a high standard to make it as easy as possible for home cooking but has the same finish as any Restaurant prepared piece of Rib Roast. The “Fat Cap” has been left on the top of the eye of the meat to offer more flavour, underneath this is another layer of tender meat with a slightly different texture, this protects the main piece & adds to the slices with a more rich flavour to enjoy.
There are 2 single “Finger Bones” on one side of the piece that adds more flavour to the cook because we all know that meat cooked on the bone tastes much better. These are great when slicing because you rest the meat when cooked on the bones & it steadies the piece when carving.
Please wrap & rest this Carvery Rib Roast for 30 minutes before carving, this allows the meat to absorb the juices & to relax, making the slices more tender.
Everyone loves bacon & we have selected our Smoked Dry Cure Back Bacon that is both excellent for flavour & doesn’t shrink like commercial bacon that you can buy on any shelf. The quality pork that is used to make this has great flavour & the dry cure process only intensifies the flavour. The Smoked Dry Cure Bacon doesn’t shrink much during cooking, making it much better value for money.
The 450-grams recyclable pouches are vacuum-sealed to hold all that flavour in & give a longer shelf life for a safer product. The dry-cured back bacon takes your bacon sandwiches to the next level & you won’t want the usual “wet bacon” that you find on most supermarket shelves after eating this!
In your Mothers Day Meat Gift Box, we thought mum would like some Cumberland Pork Sausages, these meaty bangers are made from a specific blend of high-quality pork shoulder with simple ingredients. We have a No Gristle policy to be able to make sure that all our sausages have the right texture consistently throughout for the best bite! We vacuum pack our sausages in 6’s at 450-grams per pack.

Home cooking wouldn’t be complete without making a delicious pie!? As a treat for Mum, we have added a pack of our tender Diced Beef just to make her favourite Steak & Ale Pie. The juicy chunks of lean beef come from the Chuck Steak that has the perfect texture to breakdown during a slow cook to become melt in your mouth delicious. There are many recipes for Diced Beef Steak Pieces & this makes them a very popular choice for home cooking. Making simple quick meals during the week is always a challenge to make something tasty & interesting, we have added our large Chicken Fillets to your Mothers Day Meat Gift Box. Most people buy chicken from supermarkets because it is convenient & so-called cheap! The chicken fillets we produce are approx 200-250g each with 4 per pack, there is NO ADDED WATER to make them appear larger, just 100% natural finest quality chicken.
Mum can make delicious quick & easy meals with these generous chicken fillets, with a choice to slice, dice, butterfly or stuff them, the flavour is guaranteed perfect. The texture of the chicken is consistent & has a much better bite than watery chewy cheap chicken. The breast meat does not shrink much & remains moist during the cook so that they offer much better value for money. We have included a recipe for Crispy Fried Chicken in a bun in the recipes tab for mum to try.
The production of all our meats in the Mothers Day Meat Gift Box & our other meat boxes is made in temperature-controlled clean rooms to give a more natural product. The lower temperatures will slow the loss of moisture in the meat, the clean rooms will prevent any extra bacterial contamination of the meat, the results are a juicier, fresher tasting product at home that has a much longer shelf life.
The process from farm to fork is designed to maximise value for money & minimise waste, with welfare & the environment top of the list.
All our production facilities are BRC Approved & we are always using local herds to support local farmers for a sustainable supply chain.
The packing of all our meats has to be completed within a few minutes because we don’t want them to dry out. Many of our meat cuts are vacuum-sealed into clear recyclable pouches that gently hold the meat in shape, but more importantly, keep the natural moisture in the meat. Some of our meat cuts are placed into recyclable sealed trays or shaped trays as they would lose their shape.
We are always looking to find other methods of packaging that is cheaper & more Eco-friendly, so we can then help improve the environment moving towards a greener future. We are now using a thinner, stronger packaging that is also recyclable which helps us to reduce our carbon footprint by using less plastic. As our customers recycle their food packaging more by making sure that it is placed into the appropriate recycling collection bin, this also helps towards our Greener Policy.
This Mothers Day Meat Gift Box is not quite the same as flowers, but far more useful & will be something to be enjoyed long after the flowers have dried up. A handy tip maybe to get dad to do the cooking on mothering Sunday as a special treat, it would be a great surprise to have this delivered to your parent’s door.
