Sherwood Pork Collar Steaks are cut 20mm thick & ready to cook, with a delicious fat marbling through the meat for a real juicy quality Pork Steak. The Pork Collar is the meaty part of the famous  “Boston Butt” cut out of the shoulder. Produced from only our finest quality pork & packed into clear recyclable pouches, 4 x 200-grams for easy storage & handy midweek meals.

Your meat is delivered in a strong insulated box, with a silver waterproof insulated liner, also extra cardboard added for extra insulation. We add a minimum of 3-kilos of “Slow thaw gel packs” at -18°C inside to help keep your meat frozen during delivery. Some products will give a little but will be fine to place into the freezer or fridge.

We have vacuum sealed 4 Pork Collar Steaks per pack making them easy to store in our clear recyclable pouches. Each pack has over 800-grams of meat inside that will feed a family of 4 easily. The packaging will protect the meat when stored in the fridge or freezer, when being delivered to your door & when bringing up to temperature before cooking.

All our meats are produced in temperature controlled, clean, safe environments that produce the best results for freshness & flavour. The process & speed at which the Pork Collar Steaks are cut & packed means they have little exposure to any natural bacteria in the air giving them a longer shelf life. The low temperatures help prevent the meat from losing any natural juices keeping them fresh from the moment they are cut.

All our pork is frozen to -18°C immediately keeping it in perfect condition.

A healthy diet has to have a daily intake of essential vitamins, minerals & protein, our quality pork is a great source all of these. By trimming the excess fat from the outside & leaving the intramuscular fat, they are better for you. Our choice of pig is the Pietrain Pig because it is a low cholesterol breed that has a fantastic meat to fat ratio that has excellent flavour with guaranteed results in the kitchen.

Having access to a large volume of good grade, perfect sized pork sides to choose from on a daily basis enables us to create the consistent “Restaurant Quality” pork cuts that people have come to expect from the Sherwood brand. We have daily delivery of pigs to the production facilities from long standing local countryside farms in Belgium & Northern France.

Our select breed of pigs gets the name Pietrain from the small village of “Pietrain” in the Wallonia region of Belgium where they mainly originated from.
