Sirloin Steak:
As we all know, the process of ageing beef or any meats only helps to enhance the flavour & soften the texture. The natural enzymes found in meat, breakdown the fibres to help the meat become more tender, & through this process, unlocks the flavour but letting the juices flow naturally.
Having this process in place before the cutting allows us to be able to create a steak perfect for any restaurant or table at home. Trimming any unwanted dry sections of the whole piece before cutting, leaves naturally juicy steaks with no waste.
We have cut our Aged Sirloin Steak 200-gram to a thickness of approx 15 mm to give a healthy sized portion that will be sufficient for most appetites. The texture of Sirloin Steak is a little finer than its neighbour the RibEye Steak & will be an easy to chew steak that is easy to cook. The natural colour of our beef is a rich Red & will turn to a lighter red when the packet is opened before seasoning & cooking.
When buying any steak for home, you always want the best quality & value for the best results. At Sherwood, we take care of this for you… We make the selection of quality beef first, then age it in our chillers for 21 days, trimmed & cut the steaks into good-sized portions, packaged to preserve the natural flavours, before delivering to your door. All these processes have been made affordable so you can enjoy steak when you want with guaranteed results.
In the cutting room, we cut & package our steaks within a few minutes to make sure we can deliver the freshest, juiciest steaks possible. The temperature of our cutting rooms is very cold & this helps to stop any natural bacteria growth in the meat & for it to lose any juices. This gives our steaks a longer shelf life & more natural flavour.
We vacuum seal the Sirloin Steak onto recyclable trays, these gently hold the shape of the steak & the vacuum process sucks all the moisture into the steak before freezing. They are vacuum sealed in singles for your convenience & ease of freezing, they can be bought up to room temperature without drying out before cooking.
Our natural Grass-Fed beef is an excellent source of vitamins, minerals & protein, this is all locked in with the packaging to ensure your delivery is perfect every time.
The recyclable packaging helps us to reduce our carbon foot print because our customers at home recycle responsibly, thus moving towards a greener future. We are always looking to find other methods of packaging that is cheaper & more Eco-friendly, we can then help the environment. Buying our Aged Sirloin Steak twin packs saves you money & gives you better value.
The process from farm to fork is designed to maximise value for money & minimise waste, with welfare & the environment top of the list. All our production facilities are BRC Approved & we are always using local herds.
Sherwood Irish Grass-Fed beef is an excellent source of vitamins, minerals & protein that helps promote energy levels. Our Irish Grass-Fed beef enjoys some of the best green pastures that Ireland has to offer, with the higher than average rainfall there is never a shortage of lush grass for them to enjoy. The welfare of all the cattle is very important not only to the livestock but to the results it brings to your table.

Steak dinners have always been a favourite meal after a long day at work or whether the new “Steak Nites” with the wife when the kids have gone to bed, or if you are having guests over to show off your new found BBQ skills. You need a steak that will deliver so you, your family & friends are happy to have shared great food together & look forward to enjoying a delicious aged sirloin steak again.
Lunch or dinner? Just bring up to room temperature, lightly season, either under the grill, pan seared, or on the BBQ, cook till you have your preferred “Doneness”, let the steak rest for 10 mins, then just serve & enjoy. Letting the steak “rest” allows the muscle fibres to relax & absorb the natural meat juices for a better result.
