Beautiful Grass-Fed T Bone Steak:
The T Bone in the middle of the steak is perfect to add flavour to the meat when cooking because cooking on the bone is always better!
The great taste of Irish Beef from two different steaks has always been the best part of a T Bone Steak & this is why a good restaurant will offer this on their menu. These are a real stand out steaks that are great fun to cook because the Fillet cooks quicker than the Sirloin & the trick is to put the fillet to the lower heated side if grilling.
The best things about a T Bone are you get the best of two steaks; the soft Fillet Steak & the juicy Sirloin Steak all on the bone for extra flavour! The fillet has a little fat marbling but is the softest beef steak, & the Sirloin has the thin fat around the outside edge for added flavour with a consistent texture that has great flavour.
Cooking a T Bone Steak is very easy, you can cook under the grill, fry on a skillet or large pan & you can cook wrapped in the oven after sealing in the pan. One of the best ways to cook a T bone Steak is on the BBQ because the tender meat will absorb the Smokey aromas to give a truly enhanced taste!
A good T bone Steak needs to be aged on the bone before it is ready to cut into steaks. Once the loins of beef have been selected, they are hung in the deep chill for 21 days before they are cut. Our expert butchers then trim the loins to remove any unwanted dark areas, then they cut into the generous thick steaks that are then ready to cook. These steaks are then packed into twin packs separated by a thin film to enable you to separate them when getting them out of the freezer.
The process of ageing beef or any meat only helps to enhance the flavour & soften the texture. The natural enzymes found in meat helps to breakdown the natural fibre of the meat to become more tender, & through this process, it unlocks the flavour to let the juices flow naturally. Making sure we have this process completed before any cutting, allows us to be able to create the perfect steak for a home that is good enough to be on any restaurant menu.
The temperature of our cutting rooms is very cold & this helps to stop any natural bacteria growth in the meat & losing any of its natural juices. Under these temperatures, we cut & package our steaks within a few minutes to make sure we can deliver the freshest, juiciest steaks possible. This gives your steaks a longer shelf life with more of a natural flavour.
Creating safe & naturally tasty food is made possible by producing in only BRCGS Approved facilities. All butchery & production is carried out under the strictest guidelines for health, hygiene & safety. All butchers & production staff wear fully protective clothing, with mandatory health tests before entering any production areas. The cutting of the T Bone Steak is in the cleanest, safest environment possible, this is how we make sure your steak is perfect.
To keep a sustainable supply of quality beef, we only use local herds from trusted farmers. The longstanding relationships with farms that have good animal welfare is important to making good beef cattle. The close proximity of the farms helps to reduce stress for the cattle & lowers carbon emissions due to less distances for the trucks to travel.
We vacuum seal the T bone Steak in recyclable pouches which gently holds the shape & the vacuum process sucks all the moisture into the steak before freezing. They are vacuum-sealed in singles for your convenience & ease of storage, they can be bought up to room temperature in the clear pouches to prevent them from drying out before cooking.
All the nutritional goodness in your Steak is locked in by the vacuum sealed packaging, this ensures you eat a delicious nutritious steak every time. The packaging allows you to store your T Bone at -18°c for up to 2 years & it will be as good as the day is was cut.
We are always looking to find other methods of packaging that is cheaper & more Eco-friendly, so we can then help improve the environment moving towards a greener future. We are now using a thinner, stronger packaging that is also recyclable which helps us to reduce our carbon footprint by using less plastic. As our customers recycle their packaging more responsibly, this helps to further reduce our Carbon Footprint because it completes another link in the recycle chain.
The process from farm to fork is designed to maximise value for money & minimise waste, with welfare & the environment top of the list.
