The Sherwood Pork French Rack is from the full best end cut of the loin,(just like lamb racks) this one has been cut in half to give 5 bones for a smaller piece. Our expert butchers have prepared these the same way as the Frenched Lamb Racks. The spine bones have been removed along with the skin, they have exposed the ends of 5 remaining long finger bones to make this an easy carve on the bone, table centrepiece.

The tender light pink loin meat is very easily cut when cooked & the flavour is excellent as you would expect from the Sirloin of Pork. The weight of these is approx 1.7-2.1 kilos that will feed 5 people. The piece has an even layer of fat covering to keep the meat moist during the cook & also adds to the flavour.

We have vacuum sealed them as a whole piece to keep them in perfect condition when delivered to your door.

The natural vitamins & minerals found in our pork supports a healthy eating lifestyle, & is a great source of protein. The natural flavour is locked in when these are sealed within a few minutes of production to make sure you can have all the natural meat juices there when you open in your kitchen. The clear recyclable pouches are easy for our customers to help reduce our carbon footprint by recycling responsibly.

At Sherwood Foods we are very conscious of producing the best product possible in temperature-controlled clean cutting rooms. The cutting & packing of our products is done within minutes to get the freshest possible products to preserve the natural flavour & moisture for a longer shelf life.

The process from farm to fork is designed to maximise value for money & minimise waste, with welfare & the environment top of the list. All our production facilities are BRC Approved & we are always using local herds to support local farmers.

There are many breeds of pigs in the world, each with different characteristics, some large fatty ones, to small very lean types. The Pietrain Pig is a low cholesterol breed that has fantastic meat to fat ratio. Having access to a large volume of a good grade, perfect sized pork sides to choose from on a daily basis enables us to create the consistent “Restaurant Quality” pork cuts that people have come to expect from the Sherwood brand.

Our daily supply of pigs is from local countryside farms in Belgium & Northern France. The name of the pigs originates from the Wallonia region in Belgium, & they take their name from the village of Pietrain.

The way we have cut our Pork French Rack means the weight you buy is the weight you cook because our expert butchers have made this oven ready. with no waste. These are very popular online & in our restaurants as they are tasty & simple to cook giving great consistent results. There are many recipes for the best end of Pork Loin on the bone, having this prepared as a Pork French Rack is a little more impressive & practical because you can cut into single portion pork chops or remove just the bones before carving into delicious thin slices.
